Heater Cores
The heater core is a small radiator-like device located inside the dashboard of a vehicle. It plays a crucial role in your car’s heating system by providing heat to the cabin. Here’s a breakdown of how a heater core works:
-
Transfers Heat: The heater core receives hot coolant from the engine.
-
Heats Air: As air is blown over the hot fins of the heater core (by the blower motor), it heats up before entering the cabin.
-
Demisting/Defrosting: It also helps with clearing fog or frost from the windshield.
OSC Heater Cores are:
- Engineered to meet or exceed OE manufacturer’s specifications
OSC understands that meeting OE specifications is the starting point, but for vehicles that are under extreme conditions or high mileage, you need to go beyond these specifications to have a product that will last.
- Drop-in fit, form and function
OSC understands that it is very important that each part goes in as easily as the existing one comes out and that it looks and functions like the original unit. OSC focuses on this requirement.
